Every year, Chenies Manor House hosts a plant fair showcasing over 80 specialist growers, nurseries and local artisan stalls. This year, I will be part of the event.
Chenies Manor has a long and rich history. Built in 1460 by Sir John Cheyne, it soon became the seat of the Dukes of Bedford. During this time, it played host to many royal visitors. The house's fortunes, like its chimneys twisting and turning, make it a fascinating place to visit, and its gardens are a joy to behold.
Lunch is available and tea is served in the gardens or Garden Room.
The house is not open during the plant fair.
