I am delighted to be attending the very first Homegrown Market at Patrick's Barn in West Sussex. This new event brings together dedicated cut flower growers, skilled plantsmen and purveyors of seeds, bulbs and garden equipment under one welcoming ‘rural roof’. I will be there with an edited selection of tools, seeds, gardening gloves and florists' accessories. Whether you leave feeling inspired to grow your own or want to create a stunning floral display with the blooms you've purchased, I can help.
Patrick’s Barn is a charming 17th-century building situated in a picturesque countryside setting. At The Homegrown Market you will be able to buy from 19 growers producing flowers in Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire.
The event is open to all, and the hope is that will become a fortnightly event. If you are visiting, you are encouraged to bring your own flower buckets so you can keep your flowers fresh on the way home. There will also be buckets available for purchase on the day.
